For this assignment, we worked on composition and advertisements where we learned how to mask images and make. It complete and tell a story. This assignment I chose the Mad Hatter tea shop. And went with an Alice in Wonderland theme, of course, for the poster. I compiled many different images that went with the theme and put them together to make it look like Alice was falling down the rabbit hole. I use many different techniques for this assignment some of which was the masking tool and highlighting and shadows with the brush tool to be able to give it that effect. A difficult part of this project was compiling the different photos and making them blend together, but I was able to mask and use different tools Photoshop had to offer and was able to make the poster that you see here.

Album Cover

For this assignment, we designed an album cover in our own style for a band and record of our choosing. In order to make it our own, we had to draw inspiration from the original record. I made my design simple and based it on the album’s themes. Although it was challenging to determine which information should go where, I managed to create a design that works.

The task at hand is creating a composition inspired by a magazine or article. I built the history of lipstick so that it was both revealing the world and alerting us to its existence. About the red lipstick, in particular. Putting enough effort into the pictures and having them appear cohesive was difficult. Along with the photograph, I created a magazine-specific page to give it a magazine-like appearance.

Fantasy Composition

We were required to compose a work with a fantasy theme for this assignment.We were completely free to create anything we wanted. For this project, we found the photographs using Adobe stock photos. It was difficult to track down the appropriate photos that went well together, but I was able to apply the clipping mask in other programs to make everything merge together well.
